Museum of Education
The construction of the Museum of Education has a long history and extraordinary symbolism for the community and for the development of education in the Municipality of Suhareka. Initially, this building served as the first official school built in 1928 with only one floor. Later, the building was expanded by adding a floor and served as such for many years. This school building has become an important symbol of resistance and raising national, cultural and social awareness. Teachers from Kosovo and Albania have contributed to develop and inspire an intellectual society that has protected and built the country. The geometric structure of the cube symbolizes order in space and makes the building stable. Constructive pillars and trajectories indicate important values such as community, system, hierarchy, reinforcement, inertia, stability and structure. This symbolic representation conveys the message that through the order and system of a society by maintaining a clear hierarchy, we can build sustainable and resilient social structures. This object generates dialogue that has been achieved between the old materials of the existing facade and the new materials built from natural concrete. Natural stone and concrete are two strong and durable materials, and the dialogue between them conveys the symbiosis of the architectural structures of the past and the present, showing the value of cultural heritage and the continuity of the development of society.

This structure has a broad purpose and breathes every single day of the year. The exterior gallery and ramp, provide an open environment and constant movement for visitors who can enjoy the artworks displayed through the exterior windows. In addition, the two stages of the summer cinema are a strong representation to the cultural life of the city, offering numerous opportunities for various quality shows and performances. The outdoor scene is a vital element that breathes life into this facility, and its placement in an area protected from urban noise is a wise choice. The circulation of water from the main fountain affects the microclimate environment of this area, making this structure not only visually attractive, but also a pleasant place to enjoy. The interiors are designed for performances of various contemporary arts and the use of materials and colors similar to the structure of the exterior completes this symbiotic cycle of architectural composition. The Museum of Education is not only a part of the history of education, but also a symbol of community achievements and an example of how an architectural structure can convey essential messages and symbols important to society.
