For EZA Office (Egzona Zendeli Architects Office), architecture is a living process that emerges from observation and the ability to uncover the hidden potential of every place. Founded in 2018, the studio has cultivated a design culture in which collective thinking and creative experimentation become the primary source of every idea. Each project develops as a new narrative, where technology, craftsmanship, and aesthetic sensitivity intertwine to create environments that go beyond functionality, enriching the way people experience the spaces they inhabit.
HN Residence emerged from the challenge of designing within a narrow site on the outskirts of Tetovo, where physical constraints were transformed into creative inspiration. Rather than seeking to dominate the site, the architecture reveals its inherent qualities, establishing a calm spatial flow in which daylight, fresh air, and greenery naturally penetrate the heart of the residence. The atriums are not merely openings within the architectural structure; they are internal courtyards that allow natural light to enter, places where time seems to slow down and nature becomes an integral part of the residents’ everyday lives. Within this linear composition, each space gradually unfolds into the next, creating a continuous experience of discovery.
At the center of this spatial narrative stands a sculptural marble staircase, serving not only as a circulation element but also as the emotional core of the house. Around it, the rhythms of everyday life unfold, while the relationship between mass and void, shadow and light, creates an atmosphere that continuously evolves throughout the day. The architecture is defined not by the walls it builds, but by the voids it allows to breathe, creating a home that exists in harmony with nature and with the rhythm of the people who inhabit it.
For EZA Office, HN Residence marks an important milestone in the evolution of the studio’s design language. It demonstrates that the poetry of architecture emerges precisely where reason and intuition find their balance. In this project, constraints were not perceived as obstacles, but as opportunities to create a new way of living, where space is experienced not as a sequence of rooms, but as a flow of emotions, light, and intimate landscapes that accompany everyday life. HN Residence embodies the belief that the most enduring architecture is that which does not impose its presence, but instead becomes an inseparable part of the memory and lived experience of those who inhabit it.
