“House with Blood on the Walls”

There are moments when architecture finds its greatest purpose not in creation, but in preservation. In places where history remains tangible, every intervention seeks to safeguard memory while allowing it to continue shaping future generations. This responsibility defines the work of Alfa Product, an architectural practice led by architect Arton Qorri, specialising in architectural design, interior architecture, and the development of residential, commercial, and urban projects. Through a design approach that balances functionality with aesthetic clarity, the practice develops projects in which every architectural decision is shaped by context, the memory of place, and a deep sense of responsibility towards its future use. The concept for the "House with Blood on the Walls", a house-museum dedicated to the Poklek Massacre, emerged from the belief that historical memory is most powerfully preserved when a place continues to speak through its own traces. The project draws its inspiration from the building itself and the weight of the events it bears witness to. Under the architectural curation of Arton Qorri, the intervention was guided by the principle of minimal intervention, preserving the original walls, physical scars, and authentic materials as the primary carriers of collective memory. Every new addition was carefully conceived to respect the existing fabric, ensuring that visitors encounter not a constructed exhibition, but an authentic spatial experience that places them face to face with history.
