For Proarchitecture, every family builds its greatest dream only once: a home. For an architect, that dream represents a responsibility that extends far beyond designing walls and roofs; it is the process of transforming a way of life into space. This philosophy has shaped the practice of Proarchitecture, a studio founded in 2007 that has spent years integrating urban planning, architecture, and engineering into projects that seek a balance between technical rationality and the quality of living. Through an extensive network of collaborators and more than eight hundred completed projects, the studio has established an identity founded on the belief that good architecture begins with understanding the life that will unfold within it.
Located near the center of Vushtrri, Villa “NI” was conceived as a residence where privacy, tranquility, and a close relationship with nature form the core of everyday living. The architectural composition is based on a clear organization of volumes, where the double-height living area becomes the heart of the home, establishing a continuous relationship with the garden, the swimming pool, and the surrounding landscape. The transparency of expansive glazed surfaces, the rhythm of the roof overhangs, and the articulation of the entrance create a calm architectural expression in which elegance emerges from proportion rather than formal excess.
The materials have been carefully selected to create a balance between contemporary character and the warmth of domestic living. The ventilated façade, glazed surfaces, timber elements, and the thoughtful design of the courtyard form a cohesive whole in which architecture and nature coexist without rigid boundaries. Water, greenery, and daylight are not decorative elements but integral components of the architectural concept, creating an atmosphere that adapts to the rhythm of the day while consistently preserving a sense of comfort and intimacy.
For Proarchitecture, this villa represents one of the projects that most clearly expresses the studio’s design philosophy. From the initial concept and interior design to construction supervision, every stage was developed as part of a unified process in which every decision was guided by the way the spaces would ultimately be lived in. Villa “NI” embodies the studio’s belief that architecture gains its true value when it enhances everyday life, fosters a sense of belonging, and preserves its natural character even after many years.
