Radream Hotel & SPA

Arkiplan is an architectural practice based in Albania whose design philosophy is founded upon a continuous dialogue between vision, place, and the human experience. Each project emerges from a rigorous interpretation of its context and a profound understanding of users’ needs, consistently striving to achieve a balance between formal simplicity, functional clarity, and the precision of architectural detailing. Through an ongoing exploration of materiality, natural light, and spatial relationships, the studio creates architecture that is restrained in its formal expression yet rich in spatial and sensory experience. Set within the exceptional coastal landscape of Rradhimë, Radream Hotel & Spa represents a contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean hospitality architecture. The project establishes a direct relationship with the sea, the local climate, and the site's topography, conceiving the building as an integral extension of the landscape rather than an isolated architectural object. Its multi-layered façade, conceived as a dynamic environmental envelope mediating between interior and exterior spaces, generates a constantly evolving interplay of light and shadow, while the careful use of natural materials imbues the building with warmth and reinforces its strong connection to the Mediterranean architectural identity.The spatial organization is driven by the ambition to create an intuitive and seamless guest experience. Public areas, wellness facilities, and accommodation spaces are interconnected through a carefully orchestrated circulation system, where natural daylight, passive ventilation, and visual connectivity play a fundamental role in shaping the perception of space. Rather than merely fulfilling the functional requirements of the programme, the architecture choreographs a sequence of spatial experiences that continually reconnect visitors with the surrounding landscape and the coastal horizon.
