Villa A is situated in a unique natural landscape, facing
the island of Corfu and the beaches of Ksamil.
The design of this villa is rooted in the concept of creating a space that harmoniously connects with its surrounding environment, incorporating the rock formations and sea views within the living space. The villa is
strategically positioned to maximize natural light and
panoramic views.
The building is conceived as a cluster of cubes with varying orientations, each framing the surrounding vistas.
The partially cantilevered cubes over the stone walls
create shaded verandas. The outdoor space seamlessly
extends the interior space, using reference lines generated by the building’s walls. These lines define the outdoor veranda and the pool shape. Vertical stone walls
and the white cubes articulate the ground floor fluid
space. The use of floor-to-ceiling windows allows natural light to penetrate the interior spaces and provides
uninterrupted views of the sea and the surrounding
landscape on both levels of the villa. All daytime areas
are located on the ground floor. On the upper floor, each
cube contains a bedroom, which opens towards the horizon through its own balcony.
